Apprentice Dental Nurse


Weekly wage: £124.50

Working week: 30 - 40 hours per week. Flexibility may be required as you progress

Total hours per week: 30.00

The role of a dental nurse is to assist the dentist with all clinical aspects within the surgery. This includes but is not exhaustive to:

  • Greet and care for all patients in a polite and courteous manner at all times

  • Work closely with the dentist in a professional and appropriate manner

  • Provide chair side assistance during all dental procedures

  • Update computer records and taking notes

  • Cleaning surgeries to a high level, maintaining strict cross infection controls

  • Preparing instruments and materials during treatments

  • Carry out reception and administrative tasks where require

Associate Project Manager

Vacancy description

As an Associate Project Manager with Clarke Facades you will have a varied role, taking on more responsibilities as your apprenticeship and experience progresses. The following items are not exhaustive but should give you a taster of what to expect.

  • Delivering project management support to the projects team.

  • Logging, managing and analysing information on the progress of the project, using Excel and other bespoke databases.

  • Monitoring project schedules, preparing weekly progress reports/make ready needs, and liaising with key stakeholders.

  • Reviewing and Monitoring Site Health and Safety, ensuring Safe system of work.

  • Seek to improve processes, keeping value for money as a focus.

  • Operate within and comply with our policies, procedures and values at all times.

  • Maintain own learning records to ensure that all necessary development activities are undertaken.

  • Monitoring and recording deliveries on site

  • Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way

To be successful

  • Ability to liaise with line managers in the business in order to deliver against their requirements.

  • Be analytical with good problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

  • Self-starter with the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.

  • Be a pro-active member of the team; continually seeking to improve and develop your own skills and the performance of the team.

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to be offered a full-time position. This will be reviewed at the end of your apprenticeship.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for three apprentices to join the Planning Team who are offering the opportunity to combine study towards a Chartered Town Planner degree with professional growth through working within a department covering Planning Policy, Development Management, Planning Enforcement, Design, Transport Policy, the Old Kent Road Regeneration team and Community Infrastructure Levy.

As an apprentice, you will be on a five year development programme, which is designed to kick-start your successful career in Planning. A combination of practical, on the job experience and theory will combine to give you an overview of best professional practice, resourcing and talent planning, performance management and planning issues. We understand that everyone’s career could be different, as every apprentice goes through their own unique journey.

We will support your technical development through a wide range of on-the-job practical experiences and placements. We will also support your professional development through a combination of classroom-led training courses, online training courses, mentoring and structured networking opportunities. You will receive one-to-one support throughout the programme from your scheme sponsor and your Line Manager. You will also be connected to a ‘buddy’ who will be a more experienced planner and a mentor for the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Your degree apprenticeship will be delivered by London South Bank University (LSBU).

We want to hear from people with potential and so even if you are not the finished article, don’t let that stop you from applying as we will work with you to develop and grow.


The qualities we look for in our apprentice planners are a passion for learning and an interest in geography, planning, sustainability, economics or social sciences.

You will need to demonstrate your ability engage well with customers and stakeholders at all levels and good team working spirit.

Army Apprenticeships





The Army apprenticeship scheme is planned to fit around your military training and will be relevant to your role in the Army. You will develop your literacy and numeracy skills as well as more specialist trade skills.

Your hard work will be rewarded with a Level 2 certificate (equal to 5 good GCSE passes). You could also go on to do a Level 3 apprenticeship (equal to 2 A Levels) and maybe even a Level 4 apprenticeship. These qualifications will be valued by employers when you decide to move on.


Your apprenticeship will be on one of the following areas:

· Public services and health

· Engineering

· Telecommunications

· Animal care

· I.T.

· Logistics

· Construction

· Business administration

The type of apprenticeship that you will do, will depend on your chosen role in the Army.



There are three levels of apprenticeships on offer to soldiers when they join the Army:


Military trade training forms the main part of this level.

You complete a range of key skills qualifications (including literacy and numeracy) get a technical certificate.

You will earn an NVQ Level 2 – equivalent to five good GCSE passes.

LEVEL 3 Advanced apprenticeship

· Available for those in technical trades

· You earn an NVQ Level 3 - equivalent to two A-level passes

LEVEL 4 Higher apprenticeship

· Work in real-time operations, countering real threats to national security, earning a Level 4 Diploma in Intelligence Operations.


Every job in the Army offers the opportunity to progress to gain professional skills leading to higher qualifications, including full bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. Technical Corps like the Royal Engineers or the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, will support you in gaining civilian qualifications. such as gaining Chartered Engineer status.

Many officers and soldiers also become qualified instructors or leaders for adventurous training activities, so this is a great chance to take your interests to the next level.
